Glossary
Quick definitions for the terms that carry specific meaning in MPoker.
People & structure
- Club — a self-contained poker community with its own members, tables, chips, and admin tools.
- Union — an umbrella linking several clubs to share tables and traffic; run by an owner and managers, with no players of its own.
- Home club — the club a player enters a union game through; it funds the buy-in and receives everything that comes back.
- Owner / Manager — the two admin ranks of a club. The owner is immutable; managers have the full admin panel below the owner.
- Agent — a member who recruits and manages players and earns commission on their rake.
- Master Agent — a senior agent above other agents, earning an override on them. Same concept some screens call a super-agent.
- Horse — a player assigned to (managed by) an agent.
- Downlink / downline — an agent placed beneath a master agent, with its own commission percentage.
- Super-agent authority — a per-club grant giving master-agent-style visibility without changing someone's role.
- Ownership transfer — the owner's offer to hand the club to another member; pending until accepted, declined, or revoked.
Chips
- Chips — a club's play-money currency; no monetary value, granted and removed by the club's operators.
- MGold — platform currency used only to pay a club's subscription plan; separate from chips and never convertible.
- Club Chip Balance — your off-table chip pool in a club; table stack is the chips at your seat.
- Rake / fee — the club's cut of a cash pot, or the fee portion of a tournament buy-in.
- Rakeback — a share of rake returned to the player who generated it.
- Rakeback pool — the total percentage of a player's rake the club gives up; the agent's share is carved out of it.
- Rake contribution — the slice of a hand's rake attributed to you, in proportion to the chips you put into the pot; the basis for rakeback, commission, and union fees.
- Commission — rake share paid to an agent; override is the extra share a master agent earns on a downlink.
- Allowance — the ceiling on what an agent may promise across their players.
- Pending vs. claimed — earnings accrue as pending and must be claimed into your wallet; nothing auto-pays.
- Mint / Burn / Transfer — creating, removing, or moving chips (admin actions; agents transfer only to their own horses).
- Tier — a club's MGold subscription level, which sets member and admin capacity.
Unions
- Invitation request — a club asking a union to invite it; the union answers with an invitation (terms attached) or dismisses it.
- Invitation — a union's offer to a club, always carrying concrete fee terms; membership starts when the club accepts.
- Fee contract — the per-club terms: a cash fee percentage and a jackpot-game fee percentage, changed only by a proposal the other side accepts.
- Union fee ledger — the union's running per-club chip balance of fees owed each way, built from every raked hand. The client screens call it the settlement ledger; it is chip-denominated and is not a claim on money.
Gameplay
- Variant — the card game: NLH or PLO4.
- Format — the structure: cash, or HUSNG / 6-Max / 9-Max Sit & Go.
- Buy-in — chips brought to a cash seat, or the entry stake for a tournament.
- Top-up — adding chips to a cash stack up to the table maximum (cash only).
- Rathole cap — the rule that your on-table chips can't exceed the table maximum.
- Pre-action — a decision queued before your turn; timebank is reserve time beyond the action timer.
- Moving button — the button rule used across all games: the button always advances to the next player who can play; a dead small blind (nobody posts it) covers the gap when the small-blind spot is empty, and the big blind is always a live player.
- Cancellation plan — the owner's written, approved proposal for returning chips when a tournament is cancelled.
