Roles & permissions
Who can see and do what — inside a club and inside a union — and why the same person can have completely different powers in two different places.
Every club assigns each member a role, and the role decides which tools, reports, and chip powers that person sees. Roles are strictly per-club: your rank in one club says nothing about any other. Unions have their own, entirely separate pair of roles, covered at the bottom of this page.
The five club roles
- Member — the base role. Plays, sees the club lobby, their own profile, ledger, hands, and the member roster. No admin or agent powers.
- Agent — recruits and manages players (their "horses"), earns commission on their rake, sets each player's share within the rakeback pool, sends chips to and reclaims chips from their own players, and approves join requests referred to them.
- Master Agent — sits above ordinary agents, managing a downline and earning an override on the commission those agents generate. Does not get the admin panel from this role alone.
- Manager — full club admin: members, roles, chips, tables, tournaments, reports, and the agent network. Cannot touch the owner or other managers.
- Owner — the top of the club, with every power plus a few reserved exclusively for them: cancelling a tournament that has already collected buy-ins, and offering the club to a new owner. The owner's own role can never be changed or removed.

How rank limits what you can do
Ranks inherit downward — each can do everything below it. Changing roles is bounded by your own rank:
- Only owners and managers can change roles, and only to a rank strictly below their own, on a member who already ranks below them.
- You can't promote anyone to your own level or above, you can't modify a peer or someone above you, and you can't change your own role.
- Promoting a player above Member detaches them from their agent — the assignment and their agent's share are cleared, and past earnings stay where they are.
- Owners and managers are agent-capable by default — they manage players and downlines without holding the Agent or Master Agent role, which is why they show up in agent and commission reports.
- Some promotions count against the club's plan limits (managers, master agents, super-agent grants). If the club is at its cap, the promotion is refused with a message pointing to Plans & billing.
Super-agent authority
Beyond the role labels, an owner or manager can grant super-agent authority to an ordinary agent or member. It gives master-agent-style visibility over an assigned downline without changing the person's role: they see their downlinked agents, those agents' players, and the related earnings reports. It does not add chip powers — moving chips to a downlinked agent's players stays out of reach. Each downline link carries its own commission percentage, set by the owner or manager. The grant is per-club and never carries to another club — even one owned by the same operator.
Scoping: who sees whom
- Owners / managers see everything in the club.
- Agents see only their own players.
- Master agents see their own players, their downlinked agents, and those agents' players — never the full roster or unrelated members.
- Members see only themselves and the public roster.
Leaving, bans, and removals
- A banned, removed, or departed member loses all authority and visibility immediately, no matter how senior they were. Rakeback they already earned stays owed — see Rakeback & commission.
- You can't walk out mid-game: leaving a club is refused while you're still seated at any of its tables (including union tables you entered through it), registered in a tournament, or holding a paid queue spot. Stand up and unregister first — this protects your chips from being stranded.
- When an agent leaves or is removed, their players stay in the club but the agent links are cleared — an owner or manager reassigns them.
- The owner can never leave their own club; ownership must be transferred first.
Transferring ownership
An owner can offer the club to another member. The offer stays pending until the recipient accepts or declines, and the owner can revoke it at any point before that. On acceptance the recipient becomes the new immutable owner and the previous owner steps down. Only one offer can be pending at a time.
Union roles: Owner and Manager
A union has exactly two roles, and they exist in a separate world from club roles:
- Union Manager — runs day-to-day operations: edits union settings, invites clubs and handles their requests, proposes and responds to fee changes, creates and closes union tables and tournaments, and reads the settlement and treasury reports.
- Union Owner — everything a manager can do, plus the powers reserved for the owner alone: appointing and removing union managers, cancelling a union tournament that has already collected buy-ins, and deleting the union itself.
